Really.... I dare you to find a better sound than this!!

Katie's jump roping apparently is the funniest thing that Joey has ever seen in his little life.... I have to admit that I was a bit irritable today after dealing with an error in our furniture delivery AND with an insurance company screw-up. But it all melted away after hearing this sweet sound!

The Soccer Mom Speaks Out.... (1.16.10)

Ok, so now things are C-R-A-Z-Y busy with all the kids' activities! I don't know what I'm going to do when Joey has events to throw into the mix! Today was Katie's first basketball game... her team did a great job, and she even scored a few points herself! With Katelyn starting winter sports, today was the first time Alec and I have had to split the driving duties to make sure everyone got to their activities. Caroline is still in her "creative dance" class on Saturday mornings, although she was very sad today that she doesn't get to stay for the next class, which is tap. Soon enough!

Sudden Snowstorm of 2009

Today's snow came out of the blue! Within a couple of hours we have a couple of inches on the ground! The kids were all able to try out the new snow disc... lots of fun! And Joey got to feel his first snow. He tolerated it at first, and even smiled at it a few times!

Merry Christmas and a Happy Festivus to You!

What a great time we had visiting Grandpa and Tamu in Texas! Although Alec and I were a bit (ok, a LOT) worried about the flights there and back, the kids did really well! We had a nice restful few days and lots of "special" time with Tamu. Alec and Steve got some man time at the cigar bar, and the girls did special bathtime and special make-up with Marilyn. I got some much-needed extra hands to help with the kids for the entire vacation. What a perfect Christmas gift! We were sad that cousin Mackenzie and her parents couldn't join us, but are glad to hear that she's now on the mend!

Now we're looking forward to a fabulous 2010, which is sure to have a better start than 2009 did for us. Happy New Year!!

Visits from Family

In November and early December we had fun visits from family - first cousin Mackenzie brought Uncle Blake and Aunt Shayna for a visit. Then GrandBob and Mimi came for two weekends in a row. We had a great time... thanks for coming to spend time with us!
